Questions we hear most
What is Gatesi?
Gatesi is a firewall and flight recorder for AI agents. It applies your rules, asks you on your phone about risky actions, and keeps a tamper-evident record of everything an agent does through it.
What does it cost?
Gatesi is free during early access. It runs on Cloudflare's free plan and a free Telegram bot, with daily limits of about 25,000 recorded events and 100,000 requests, shared by everyone on one Gatesi.
How do I get in?
Join the waitlist on the home page and we'll send your invite link. Your invite gives you your own account.
Who can see my activity?
Your account is separate: your own agents, keys, vault, rules and runs. Your admin runs the service, can see activity on it and can switch accounts off.
How long is data kept?
Runs and events are kept for 30 days of activity. Deleting your account removes your keys, credentials, rules and standing approvals.
Is it open source?
Our helper kits, Claude Code hook, receipt format, offline checkers and examples are MIT licensed. You can read, copy and use them freely. The Gatesi service itself is proprietary.
What works with it?
Python and JavaScript kits, a Claude Code hook, an MCP endpoint, plain HTTP, and wrappers for LangChain, the OpenAI Agents SDK and CrewAI. These wrappers are checked against the real packages.
What is tested?
Gatesi has an automated test suite covering approvals, rules, the vault, the MCP proxy, two-member approval and receipts.
How does Gatesi protect my agents?
Credentials are stored encrypted. Every approval is one-time and tied to the exact request you saw. Requests are rate limited, and every account is separate.
How do I make sure my agent always goes through Gatesi?
Store its credentials in the Gatesi vault, so the agent never holds them. Gatesi then makes the call for it.
